Tap at the brewpub. Clear amber pour, small white head. Aroma of doughy, bready malts. Nice subtle spicy hop bite. The rye makes an appearance in the finish and adds a nice spicy zip. Very drinkable.

Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a sly transparency about it. Delicate carbonation could be seen rising at a gentle pace to fill a cap of a bar pour’s slim white head. Dissipates immediately, barely any lace.
The aroma leads with a little bit of spicy rye and then some toasty malts of caramel, roasted nuts and toffee.
The flavor balances nicely between the roast and the sweet allowing the spice to move in for some nice undertones. Aftertaste has no spice and seems to be all about the normal qualities of a Vienna Lager. The finish is the same.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent clingyness of the malts to my tongue. Carbonation seemed to be appropriate.
Overall, nice Vienna Lager, rye wants to compliment but honestly doesn’t show a whole lot of strength in this. I didn’t mind one way or the other. Good stuff, would have again.

From the brew pub. Again low light would suggest an amber color, thin small head. Aroma of light rye and caramel malt. Light body nice prickly carbonation over my tongue. The flavor is European malts and lager yeast. Really well made for the style. Good everyday style. Easy to drink.
