Keg pour into taster cup at NH Brewfest. Appearance is dark brown with no sparkle, small ring of off-white head. Aroma is strong, sweet caramel, candied sugar. Taste is brown sugar, dark fruits, and almost like it was aged in oak--nice. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with soft-to-average carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, very enjoyable with most interesting feature being the taste.

Draft on 10 March, 2013. Served in Martha’s unique glass ware. Dark brown color with lots of ruby highlights. Aromas are ripe dark fruit, bread, and caramel. Soft carbonation with a sweet mouthfeel. Taste of malt, dark fruits, light roasted grains and a hint of toffee afterwards. This batch weighed in at 8.8 % ABV. And honestly only a very little hints of it on the backend. Very nice and worth a try.
