CAn at home. Another brew that suggests colder months. Dark pour. Nose is vanilla and cocoa. Tastes of roast, ash, vanilla but not cloying, chocolate, touch of licorice. Tasty

In a plastic cup on the deck overlooking Hampton Beach at Charlie's Tap house. Dark brown in color rich roasty chocolate with earth and fruit to counter. Pretty decent porter.

Taster pour at the source. Appearance is clear, very dark brown (almost opaque), with small beige head with fair retention, no discernible sparkle and fair lacing. Aroma is nice roasted malts. Taste is awesome roasted malts with chocolate and dark fruits. Palate is medium bodied with frothy texture, a little numbing on the tongue, lively carbonation and a very nice finish as taste. Overall, this was easily my favorite of the day. Nice look and palate, but the standout was the taste. Well done.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Dark chocolate aromas. Sweet vanilla and caramel upfront turning to thin espresso and cinnamon in the lasting finish.

64 oz. growler compliments of Phatdog 1, thanks for bringing this! Nose is subdued. Light cinnamon and chocolate malt. Taste is a really great blend of cinnamon, chocolate and a light lingering vanilla aspect in the finish. The flavors really meld well. The mouthfeel is creamy and is dangerously drinkable. This is a delightful brew.
