Draft @ brew pub. Deep brown / black. Very small off white head gave lots of spiderweb lace. Nose is rich roasted notes and mild.coffee bean. This was a great batch. Medium in body with a lingering coffee bitterness. Flavor is the nose times 2. A good stout.

Pours a solid black color with a minimal tan head that dissipates quickly. Smells of coffee, roasted grains and earthy hops. Lots of acridic almost burnt coffee in the aroma. The taste backs up what my nose found, acridic burnt coffee mixed with a light roasted grain and slight astringency. Finish is rather dry with a lingering coffee bite. Thin body, light carbonation, slick acridic mouthfeel. I did not enjoy this stout. The base beer doesn’t have enough body to stand up to the thinning affects of adding coffee to a beer. Its also a bit boring and did I mention acridic.

on tap-pours brown head with black color. Aroma is coffee, dark malt. Taste is mild coffee, dark malt. Almost chewy, not my style usually, nice.
