Probably one of the more enjoyable beers at marthas IMHO. Big & black. Nice creamy alabaster head. Sweet roarty fun aroma. Good even roasted porter tastes, well behaved. Swwet stout in nature, overall well done beer. Like able. Hides its near 6% alky well.

Draft in a pint. Thick, frothy, soapy head. HUGE roasted notes in the nose. Taste has an intense chocolate malt backbone. Bitter chocolate comes out through some hop presence. Coffee notes noticeable when warm. Has everything a good porter needs. Nice job on this one and easily the best beer of the day.

On tap at the source Pours a solid dark brown with faint garnet highlights when held to light. Smells of roasted grains, lots of chocolate, slightly earthy hops, and a slight mineral aroma. Taste is roasty and chocolatey like a good porter should be. Slight earthy hops bite and a hint of chalk on the finish. Medium to thick body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, moderate level of carbonation. Nice porter, I could see a few of these in my future.
