Local Harvest Ale is brewed with hops grown in Maine. The abundant aroma of citrus, pine, and lemongrass come from hopping this beer four ways: in the mash, in the kettle, steeped, and dry hopped. This auburn Autumn classic is balanced with the careful addition of chocolate and caramel malts to create this extremely popular Single Batch Series ale.

tap at Portland location - Pours hazy orange with a long lasting off-white head that laces heavily. It has a fruity, yeasty aroma. The flavor has some caramel malt up front and ample citrus accented hops. It’s medium bodied. Pretty good.

On draft at brewpub in Gorham, ME. Color was caramel brown with a thin white head that left nice lacing. Aroma was of piney hops. Taste mirrors the aroma. However there was no hop bitterness which made it smooth to drink. I would drink again and was surprised on how flavorful it was.

Pours deep clear amber into a shaker. Tan head with excellent retention pancakes as is slowly recedes leaving slight sheets. Slightly sour, dark chocolate caramel and resin aromas. Full with upfront caramel turning to medium sweet resin. Dry lasting chocolate hop finish.
