On nitro tap at Town Hall on 05/26/2009. Clear brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, light roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Sweet chocolate and light roast flavor. Light body, with moderate carbonation and a very creamy mouthfeel. A very well crafted example of an underappreciated style.

Thanks to Hellomynameis for sharing this from a growler during the DLD tasting. A thin, lasting tan head tops this clear, dark amber brew. Toasty caramel aroma. Malt forward flavor profile, with the bitterness coming in as an afterthought. A bit thin.

The only milds I have had are from Town Hall and Great Waters, so I’m not sure what I should look for. But this beer is mild for sure. Black with a light amber tint. Very smooth and great palate. Light grain flavor and aroma. This goes down very easy, and I have had few session beers that fit the description so well.
