Pour is a black with a large mocha tan head. Aroma is a nice roast and bitter bakers chocolate combo. Flavor is an equally nice roasted malt and more of a coffee finish. This was a pretty good stout. Lots of roasted malt with some chocolate and coffee.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Oak Creek, 4/7/19. Black, large frothy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, coffee, chocolate. Taste is roast, coffee, chcoolate, caramel, nuts, cherries. Medium-full bodied, slick, chewy. Solid stout.

Received in trade from azaaron, thanks for the opportunity. The bottle opened with a noticeably load pop, no foam over, but the first pour filled my glass with foam. It took a good 15 minutes from opening until I was able to sample this brew. Pours a solid dark brown color with faint ruby highlights when held to light. Aromas of light chocolate, caramel and tart fruit. Not a whole lot going on in the aroma. The taste has all the right players in the game. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and caramel with a modicum of dark fruits. The mouthfeel is ruined by the over carbonation every sip has co2 sharply piercing the front of my tongue and sometimes expanding bubbles fill my mouth. Medium bodied beer. Once the bubbles settled down this became quite a tasty brew. I’d love to try another of these sometime and re rate.

Draft at The Old Fashioned. Opaque black with an oily head. Pleasant coffee aroma. Smooth and mellow body, somewhat dry. Roasty with a subdued cocoa edge. Easy drinking, but full bodied enough to slowly sip. Solid Stout, with some coffee edges. Well done.

Draught at the ABR 2006. Available in bottles at Chicones, Hudson , WI. thick and better than average oatmeal stout, even though I don’t know if there is actually any oatmeal in it. Roasted barley, and some nuts. Black with an impressive head. Simple but the substantial body and full flavor make this a winner.

This has been in our fridge for a while - can’t really remember where it came from, but I’m sure I owe thanks to someone - large tan head over an opaque body with lots of floaties - aroma of wood, sweet cream, crystal malt - very woody for a stout, with a heavy coffee roastiness - high but soft carbonation in the mouth - slight grape and anise - quite a nice stout.

A black beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted, while the flavor is sweet roasted combined with notes of wood, prunes and chocolate.

Rhoades Scholar poured with a strong baker's chocolate aroma, with burnt roasted malt and perhaps a touch of licorice as well. Body is dark brown/red with a thin light tan head. Flavor is ever so complex, even though the body is rather thin: roasted malt, chocolate, a touch of vanilla, and caramel finishing with very distinct coffee bean notes. Dark fruit swirls in the background. Aftertaste is almost too fudgy! Reminds me of Mackeson XXX Stout. Liquid chocolate. Thanks Mike (BBB63) for this excellent stout!

Thanks to hey_kevin for sending this my way! This is a very impressive Stout. Pours the requisite deep dark color with a lasting medim thick light brown head. Nice roasted coffee aroma with a little hops. Warm and pleasant coffee and malt flavor. I really liked this one.
