12 oz. bottle. Nice floral hop aroma backed by some pale malt. Light amber color with a minimal off-white head. Some citrus aroma as the glass approaches the lips. A bit thin in body, and mild in carbonation. The flavor is citrus, with a touch of grapefruit. The malt is not participating strongly. The finish is dry, even a bit astringent. Nice persisting bitter. Very nice in the hophead sense.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours clear, deep golden with a white, lacing head. Very fresh and fruity hop aroma. Fairly light in body with a weak malt base, but the aroma hops are incredibly fresh and fruity with accents of peaches and exotic fruits. The finish is dry but not really bitter. 290307

Clear amber color with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma mixed with caramel, and a flavor to match.

Light amber color, small white head. Very flowery aroma, and a very nectar type flavor. Great overall, and really fresh and crisp flavors.

Dark gold with a small off-white head. Hoppy nose with floral and citrus notes. Spicy-floral lightly hoppy flavor with a better hop bite in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Citrus aroma. Citrus hop flavor with moderate bitterness. Enough malt to back it, but a bit on the hop side of balanced. Clean and easy to drink. Lingering citrus flavor. Slight grassiness.

I have liked a number of this brewer’s beers now. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright bronze color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma is strong with fruity and flowery hops. The flavor is sweet and lightly tangy with strong grapefruit and light floral hops. A bitter hop finish lingers. A nice pale ale but not as good as the Red Nectar.

Courtesy of Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. I was a little suprised when I prepared to open the bottle when I noticed it was a little over half full. Seeing as there was not a 1/2 bottle of spilled beer in my suitcase when we came back, I am assuming it was bottled that way. Sure enough, it was not flat or anything - just not full! Anyway, the beer pours a murky light orange color with a medium white head that did not last too long. Nicely bitter aroma. Flavor is hoppy but not real strong (at least in terms of West Coast style APAs). Decent malt balance and the finish is crisp and refreshing. I'd get this again next time I am in CA.
