Bottle from McHughs. Chestnut with a minimal head. Aroma of raisins and grain. Flavour is warm malty dried fruit, spicy, grape on a dry malt booze finish. Tastes a bit more like a bock than a marzen which is fair going given the abv.

500ml bottle at home. Pours a very reddish brown. Thin off white almost tan head. Appetizing aroma of caramel, fresh brown bread, oak. Flavour is oaky caramel, some slight bitterness. Lovely mild finish

Bottle ffrom O'Brien's, Athlone [090818]
Copper brown, crystal clear, frothy white head dissipates quickly
Aroma - Soft fruity caramel malt, light sweet toffee, hint of spicy hops
Taste - Fruity caramel malt, quite sweet rich malts, soft dark fruits, dab of raisin, soft spicy bitter hops, really nice malts in this
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, fairly sweet, light bitter, smooth, good texture, no alcohol. Finish of smooth fruity caramel malts, soft toffee, light spicy hop, rich linger
Overall - Tasty malty beer - this would be superb on cask
