On tap at Rising Sons Brewery, Cork. Dark ruby red to brown, small lasting beige head. Moderately hoppy aroma, fruity, tropical, some stone fruit. Roasty underneath and slightly burnt. Nutty flavour, toasty, roasty, light buttery and light fruity. Smooth, lightly creamy, medium body, moderate carbonation.

On keg at Brewdog's Cinematic Circus, Weston Airport, Co Dublin. Pours hazy dark brown to black, beige head. Aroma: roasty malts, light citrus, hoppy. Taste: light sweet & bitter, dry, toasted malts, earhy, dark chocolate, citrs zest. Medium bodied, ample carb, creamy mouthfeel, light bitter finish. Decent example of the style.

Keg @ Rising Sons brewpub, Cork [120416]
Very dark brown, dense oatmeal head, good lacing
Aroma - Not getting much, too cold
Taste - dark malt background, some dark bitter chocolate, nice clean bitter zest hop, generic citrus zest, bitterness of toasted malts blends well with bitter hops
Palate - Medium carb, medium light body, good bitter sweet balance. Finish of soft roast, soft chocolate and citrus, clean
Overall - Good example of a lower strength BIPA, although the style suits an abv of 6% and above
