Can, gift from Javi at Tap Room Lambic (thanks, man.) A dense, oily, jet black pour with a mahogany-hued thin head that leaves but a disc (huge lacing, though.) Very intense aromas of black coffee, vanilla, licorice, grass, charcoal, earth, shale, crayon... You can tell it's very mineral on the nose. As the appearence foretold, it's very oily and dense. Drier than the style uses to be. Slick, slow-sipping, velvety. Nice bitterness, well balanced, in the very long-lasting espresso-ladden finish.

Can 33 cl. Pours thick and syrupy jet black with a tiny, brown head. Fat curtains in the nose. Rich, sweet roast in the nose, some fennel perhaps. Rich and sweet body, really thick and syrupy - hard to believe it's only 9,8%. Apparenly lactose is added, but it's very well integrated. Pleasant surprise. 060324
