Bottle at home as a last treat before going traveling for a long time. It’s certainly going to be the best I get for a while! Pouts black with no head. You know just from the pour that this one’s going to have a nice thick body. Lots of barrel in the aroma. Cognac has never been my favourite to be honest, but at the same time it does make a change. Bourbon barrel is amazing but it’s a lot more common. Oaky barrel comes out along with fruity cognac, boozy notes, chocolate and vanilla. With appropriately taken smallish sips the alcohol is subdued but present in its warmth. Just as the pour suggests, it’s pretty thick, a little oily. Great body. Certainly some warmth in the finish. Another damn great Side Project BA Impy, that’s certainly no longer for the cellar.

Rated @ Side Project Cellar. Smooth, intense vanilla, cocoa, oaky wood, chocolate, barrel, woody oakiness and some cognacy apple notes. Heavy but complex and tasty. --- Beer merged from original tick of For The Cellar (2024) on 10 Nov 2024 at 14:23 - Score: 9. Bottle at Side Project Cellar and one more shared with Eric, MiroB and Luka. Black with brownish head. Chocolate and bourbon. Layer after layer of vanilla, smooth AF. Light fruity notes. Lots of barrel. Thick and oily, but not cloying in any way. Full bodied. Not sure how could this be better.
