Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black, tan foam. Chocolate, peanut butter, vegetal, a bit artificial, some buttered popcorn, sweet, lactose, sugary. Not so great.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours black-brown with a frothy, khaki head. Big and sweet, lots of gooey chocolate, subtle roast, toasted sugars, some toffee, only very mild peanut butter impressions, some fudge, chocolate sauce. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and somewhat sticky in the finish, lots more sweet dark malts, cocoa, soft earthy bitterness, some raisins, nips of milky coffee. Enjoyable stuff in that childish pastry stout kind of way. Thankfully it doesn't taste artificial, but it is really damn sweet.

On tap at Kean's Head, Nottingham. Black with beige head. Nice nuts in aroma, milk chocolate, caramel, too sweet, some napolitanke cookie, bitterish finish. Medium bodied.

Draft. A black beer with a brown shine under a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of lactose, chocolate, roasted malt, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherd's Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, peanut, chocolate, caramel aroma and taste. Nice one but I think the original Crunch from Hammerton is better.

Keg at Twelve Taps, Whitstable, 12/10/19. Black with a big old khaki covering. Nose is sweet malts, peanut butter crunch, chocolate, toffee fudge. Taste comprises chocolate, Crunchie bar, a more savoury level of nuttiness, honey comb, melted brown sugar. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming kiss of alcohol. Ok fun impy and pulls off the Crunchie bar to a decent level but overly sweet and lacking some balance for my liking.
