The Krampus King

Keg at Amersham beer shop, Amersham, Bucks. A dark brown/red coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Aroma of spice, dark fruit. Tastes similar, spice, cinnamon, dark fruit.

Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington - London. Pours mostly clear, deep red-brown with a creamy beige head. Lots of wintery spice in the nose, a little all-spice, some lo mein, dried berries. Medium sweet flavor with some mincemeat, ginger, brown bread, gingerbread, fruitcake, mild earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. More holiday slices in the finish, some strong orange peel, perfume, toasted brown bread. Novel, but I wouldn’t want to face a full pint of this.
