Growler fill from Cotteridge Wines tasting room; hazy deep copper/red pour with a thin white head, taste has red berries, a hint of cranberry, some tart fruits, a hint of wood, a hint of bourbon, decent fruity saison.

Keg at Weird Beard brewery, Hanwell, London. A light ruby red coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Vaguely sweet, blueberry aroma. Tastes of blueberries, slightly bitter and tart, reminded me of sour Ribena. OK Saison but probably wouldn’t bother with this one again.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear brownish red with a slight, bubbly head. The nose holds ripe blueberries, hints of wood, dried berries. Medium sweet flavor with some dry caramel, earthy bitterness, berry skins, orange peel, grain, lightly rotten blueberry, alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with some woody dryness, light boozy sting, faint toffee, more earth, old and dried berries, leaves. So so. A little bit muddled.
