Harking back to the first Holy Goat brew, this version comes 4 years and one hundred beer releases later. A brooding heavyweight of an Imperial Stout inspired by an 18th century recipe for Courage Imperial Stout. This beer features large quantities of charred and roasted malts, balanced by layers of dark crystal malts and a touch of smoke.

Can, 2024 edition. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, ash, some coffee and campfire. Taste: Dense mouthfeel, viscuous, roasted malt, ash, charred wood, vanilla, hints of smoke and coffee. Hoppy backbone. Full body, below average carbonation. Very nice.

Black with a solid tan head. Big malty aroma with a little umami smokeyness. Flavour has that in there too, with the malt sweet and toasty, plus some sweet chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, toffee. Loads of boozy warmth without being burn-y or harsh and a rich body. Delicious stuff.

Can from The Fuss Club. Black pour with a tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, smoke, cocoa, cola. Ooh that's tasty. Smoky sweet flavours of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, burnt toast, some dark fruits. Boozy sweet malty nectar. This brew reaffirms the reason why I love me impys. Great stuff 😋.

Can from Cornelius. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of crystal and chocolate, light roast. Taste has a damp mash quality, really grainy. Dark crystal. Caramel and coffee. Boozy finish.
