On tap at The Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Black pour with a tan head. Nose is dark chocolate raspberry ruffles, red cherries, coconut, touch of bitter coffee. Taste is cherry liqueur, more dark chocolate raspberry ruffles, caramel. Malty, sweet & lightly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from the Beer Cave. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of sour cherry, liquorice, leather, faint funk, darkest chocolate. Taste is rich and rewarding, dark fruit, light coffee, leather again, prune. Really good gear this.

Keg at Mother Arch III, 28/08/24. Black with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, roasted tones, charr, dried red berries, earthy, cocoa powder. Taste comprises tangy cherries, bitter chocolate, spice, cocoa dusting, roast malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid.

Tap at the new kernel tap. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting film of mid tan head. Aroma is musty barrel funk, lacto, sour cherry, vinous funk. Woody toast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tart cherry, woody roast, raspberry ripple, woody roast, tangy cherry, medium roast, lacto, vinous funk. . Palate is tart and tangy, prickly highish carbonation. Very nice complexity.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with thick beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of chocolate ice-cream, cranberry and dark chocolate. Flavour of sour blueberry and Dr Pepper. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. It tastes a bit sharper than it smells.

Black beer, thick tan head. Ar9ma has malt and a little sharp cherry. Flavour has roasted malt, dark chocolate, tart cherry. Good body, nice balanced of more typical stout flavours and the fruit.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2023, day 3 - Hackney. Pours deep brown with a frothy beige topping. Light sweet flavour with sturdy dark cherry, bitter cocoa, ashy roast, bit of salty bite, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly bitter finish, more ash, angry cherry, earth, woody dryness, bitter baking cocoa. Not bad.
