Keg at the St Mars of the Desert Taproom. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of fresh dough, orange peel and light spice.. Taste is more of the same. Dry finish.

Can courtesy of Dann. Cheers. He reckons this is the best lager he’s made yet. I’m inclined to agree. Light haze on a glowing orange gold. Dense just of white glossy foam settles to a tight thin film. Some legs. Stays the course. Looks boss. Nose has stunning balance with sweet creamy malt, with a tiny hint of savoury (I don’t know if there’s smoked malt in this), and pops of bright, peppery lemony just rained on grassy hop leaf. Taste has unreal balance of the creamy malt sweetness and layers of crisp, grassy, slightly earthy clean and mineraly bitterness. It’s bittersweet throughout and extremely refreshing and moreish. More creaminess on the palate but feels clean crisp and refreshing with fine brisk carbonation. It’s all bitterness on the finish bar a semi drying close. Holy balls this is good logger bier.
