On tap at CRBF, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma has toasted malt, a touch of caramel, and light syrupy sugars. Flavour is somehow both too malty and yet not that sweet, with syrupy sugars, bready malt, and dry toffee. Not egregious but not really on point for the style.

Some coppery vibe and a bit of malt hint under the infection. Pours reddish brown. Cloying tangy finish. Tap at brewery.

Rerate:
Bottle in Costa Rica.
Pours dark mahogany with a medium sized beige head that dissipates quickly, light lacing. Caramel malts, nutty, coffee.
This tastes like a different beer than my original rating. Glad I tried it again.
Original rating: Oct 12, 2016 - 6-5-3-4-4.5
Bottle picked up in Costa Rica
Pours clear dark golden with a medium sized off-white head, some lacing. Aroma of stone fruit, many and grassy. Flavor is grassy, bready and sour hops, watery
Not very good, footbalmed

A reddish copper ale with a thick light mocha head. In aroma, rather grassy biscuit malt with grassy hops, herbaceous character, a bit off. In mouth, a light watery ale with light biscuit malt with, faint hops, watery bodied, boring. On tap at Costa Rica Beer Factory, Escazu.
