Infected. Sour milk, honey? Light roast. Pours brown with big micha head. Super sour cloying finish. No fun drain pour. Can I got at a party. Should've left in the fridge.

Thanks Andy. Growlette share.
My portion was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was mostly black colored with a thin white head that quickly dissipates immediately. Concave film of a lace.
The aroma starts with the sweet honey and sliding into the roast subtly. Sly chocolate malts.
The flavor leans sweet combined through the previously mentioned aromas. Same sweet aftertaste. But a little bit of a dry roasty and then sweet finish.
On the palate, this was about light to medium bodied with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation feels fairly low allowing sweet chocolate malts try to stick but still enough roast helps balance and let’s the feel come across just as it should - good.
Overall, I believe Upstate did what they wanted to do. Definitely a sweeter porter than some may expect.

A deep dark porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light coffee grind, OK. In mouth, a sweet chocolate malt with light honey notes, light grassy hops, a bit boring. On tap at CNY Brewfest 2016.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is mostly coffee and some hops. I didn’t get much money out of this at all. In fact, it wasn’t even really sweet. That said, the body was nice and creamy. Not a bad beer.
