Chantelope was brewed with a similar malt bill – Pilsner, Rye and Wheat – to the brewery’s Cheval D’Or Saison, and Amarillo, Tettnang and Saaz hops. The beer was then fermented with Brettanomyces Bruxellencis yeast, resulting in a 6.7% abv and 20 IBU Belgian-style ale described as being “well balanced and refreshing”, and like “a rustic Saison, with slight tart lemon in the finish and low hopiness.”

A golden blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with fruity esters, light Brett, very smooth and pleasing. In mouth, a nice fruity biscuit malt with grassy hops, Brett notes, light cork, nice and quaffable. #OttBottShare.
