A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light sulfur notes, banana and cloves, OK. In mouth, a nice smooth fruity malt with light banana and cloves, light mineral notes, faint pepper, OK. Bottle at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Not bad - integrates decently. Pours red with ok head and lacing. Raspberry aroma with some mash malt. Average carbonation. Sour finish. Tap at The Rhino summerfest.

(Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto, July 12, 2013) Pours a deep rose pink, as dark as the darkest Grenache-based rose, with a thin white bubbly head, no lace. Aroma is a fresh pint of raspberries, straight up. Apparently Lackey is claiming 80kg of fruit per batch - this smells like it. Flavour is heavy on fruit at the start, tart and dry without any real residual sugar but with a nice fresh bite, not synthetic at all. Stays fruity all the way through, but some light cereal grain and yeast come through on the dry, lightly mineral finish - evidence of the Hissyfit grisette base. Body is light, carbonation fairly high but can be swirled out. Refreshing, only want a couple of small pours but they hit the spot on a hot summer day. This is crying out for Brett, however!
