A red amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light fruity notes, grassy hops, lightly resinous, rye notes. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with fruity esters, light solvent notes, berries, OK. On tap at Union 613.

Pours a hazy copper colour with a beige head, mid-creamy, topping the brew, but not much lace is left. Fruity nose with roasted malts, caramel and grassy hop notes. Oh wow !! Quite hoppy for an Ashton beer, adding some good bitterness. Blending caramel malts with some fruity hints. Mild rye lingers with a slight dry finish. Pretty interesting hoppy rye grain ale.

Kind of like a rye cream ale, if such a category existed. Pours cloudy red with great head and lacing. Some rye aroma and light hops with mild bitterness and little personality other than a note of citrus. Not bad for session ale. Tap at brothers.
