A clear dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, smooth chocolate with nice grassy hops. In mouth, good nutty caramel malt with smooth chocolate malt, coffee, very nice.

Enjoyed a 5oz sampler at the Half Acre Taproom in Chicago, IL after being kicked out for a Downton Abbey watching party. Appearance is a dark cola brown with a thin off white head. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt, not much lactose, more of a roasted oatmeal stout. Taste is pretty smooth with a light bitterness, mostly chocolate, taste is pretty good. Nothing outstanding. Just good and solid.

On tap at the taproom. Pours a clear very dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with a bit of dark chocolate. Flavor has dark chocolate throughout with roasted malts and dark grains.
