Draft at piece. From notes. Loads of citrus and candied pine sap. Pretty good, but there is something just off that I can’t quite put my finger on.

A golden ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with floral and resinous hops, citrus notes, very nice. In mouth, a smooth fruity biscuit malt with floral hops, orange pulp, light and quaffable. On tap at brewery.

Growler thanks to Sarah. Pours a hazy dirty orange with a thick white head that dissipated slowly. Aroma has a note of pine with underlying sweet grains and a bit of cream. Flavor is a bit creamy at the beginning, then pine in the middle and a sweet grain finish to help balance the pine.

Enjoyed from a growler as part of Piece’s fantastic Sunday pizza & growler deal. Aroma is rich in floral hops, appearance is a rich gold with a thin head. Taste, slightly creamy, rather hoppy, and has a nice subtle malt finish. This to me is very reminiscent of Two Hearted Ale, it’s billed as a Pale Ale but more of an IPA. $25 for a growler of this and a large pizza is a steal.

GABF 2007. A hazy light golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet grassy combined with notes of peaches, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry grassy and bitter finish.
