A hazed dark amber brown barley wine with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet vinous malt with treacle, floral hops, vanilla and licorice, sweet cherry chocolate, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity maple chocolate, vanilla, light licorice, and loads of alcohol, very nice. On tap as Chaos Vanilla Barley Wine, at Arrow and Loon.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Pours dark brown with ok head and lacing. A little too sweet for my taste. Lots of hops and candied or caramel malt here. Barrel aroma is well-balanced and integrated. Finishes sweet, texture thick and syrupy. Average carbonation. Tap at Session.
