(Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 20th 2013) Poured a chocolate brown with bubbly tan head atop it, big lace. Aroma has toasted malts, ashy, chocolate, vanilla, light barrel, bit of hops. Flavour has caramel malts, some moderate woody character, roast, bit of pine hops, good balance, not too sweet to start nor hoppy to finish, but rich and flavourful. Body is medium-full, booze is there but not overwhelming. Very solid collaborative ASA.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light brown head. In aroma, beautiful bourbon barrel with caramel malt and British hops. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with woody bourbon notes, light licorice and smooth whiskey alcohol, very nice.

This is good stuff. Strong sense of bourbon here. Pours pretty black with some lacing. Drinks on the syrupy side. Aroma of cask, hops, musky roast malt. Carbonation just how I like it - slightly below average. Finishes a little sweet and boozy with some bitter hops. On tap at barhop.
