(On tap at Bar Hop, Dec 31 2013) Pours a very slightly hazed medium gold with a smallish, lingering white head. Aroma quite interesting, very floral Nelson Sauvin, a little citrus, a bit sharp - perhaps a touch mineral or acidic - and slightly grainy. Flavour definitely pretty unique, bit sweet at first, pale malt and floral, slightly citrus, white wine grape-heavy hop character. Reminded me of the flavour of an off-dry muscat but much less acidic. The grainy character of the wheat becomes much more apparent towards the finish, it dries out a lot, some alcohol and moderate hop bitterness as well. Grape persists. Body is medium, slick, soft carb, not too boozy. I found this a fairly different beer, not oaky but could’ve believed it was white wine barrel-aged. Very tasty stuff though, complex but good drinkability.

A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, smooth herbal malt with catty floral hops, citrus notes, nice. In mouth, a nice fruity and complex malt with floral hops, citrus, Brett notes, alcohol nice. On tap at A Night with Amsterdam and Friends, Feb 2 2013.
