Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a milky brown color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some roasted nuts, some caramel/toffee malts, light brown sugar. Ends with some earthy hoppy smells.
The flavor was sweet with a touch of bitter and allowing the earthy hoppiness to round it out fairly nice. Aftertaste had some of the nuts, somewhat sweet and a mild roast. Light nutty finish.
The feel was almost medium bodied, but sat just a tad under. Carbonation felt fine. Pretty smooth all around.
Overall, nice brown ale worthy of coming back to if I could get it again.

A dark amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a nice nutty malt with faint grassy hops. In mouth, a good brown ale with nice roasted nutty malt, good British hops, well done. On tap at Great Lakes at Cleveland Airport, Dec. 2 2012.

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Murky medium brown to brown-orange body, thin tight cream head. Sweet nose with notes of toast and brown sugar. Complex body with floral, burnt leaves hops balanced by sweet, nutty, toasty malts. Finishes leafy and bitter. Pretty good.
