A deep dark lager with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a sweet burned treacle malt and molasses, a bit musty, light vanilla notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet caramel malt with light licorice, oily mouthfeel, aniseed notes, light herbal notes, very nice. On tap at the brewpub, March 17, 2012.

Sampled from the tap at EBF. Poured a dark brown with a creamy brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was a combination of light roasted grain and a pine hop note. Flavor was similar with roasted malts and a backing pine hop bitterness as well as some dark grains.
