Bottle 355ml. @ home. [ As Brooklyn Hecla Iron Ale ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, light pine, light to moderate wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, toasted - roasted, thin, light wood - woody hops. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20170624] 6-3-5-3-9

330ml bottle, thanks to djoeye. Shared with him and Finn. Stable beige head leaving lacing rings down the glass. Rosewood coloured body. Brown malty smell. Slightly roasted malty taste of earth, nuts and bread. Prolonged ending. Thin bodied. Accepted. (Rating session at Finn’s in Tromsø 18.05.2017).

Flaske 330ml spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune på Nerstranda 18 Mai 17. Ultramørk amber. Filmskum. Litt lacing. Lett karamellaroma. Mye kullsyre. Smaken lett lakris. Uvariert.

Bottle 33 cl. Deep red with a huge light brown head. Strange roasted malt and bread aroma. Lots of bitterness with minimal malt end, boring.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Somewhat sweet crystal malts in the nose, slightly nutty. Light-bodied, easygoing, again nutty with a dryish finish. Thin but very drinkable. 020217

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly hoppy nose with dark bread, roasted malt, coffee, a touch of mint and fresh herbal hops. Malty, roasted taste with dark fruit, roasted malt, black rye bread, caramel, pine needles and fresh, minty hops in a finish with a gentle bitterness. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made, more like a session black IPA, than a traditional mild. Quite enjoyable.
