On tap at empire farmstead. Pours out a hazy gold topped with a white head. Nose is pine spruce tips bread malts and a light earthy note. Taste is more of the pine earthy hops and pithy end.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear bronze color with a medium white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and slight fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

A golden amber ale with a thin white head. Light herbal hops in aroma with light chalky notes. In mouth, a smooth light pale ale with decent floral hops, subdued grapefruit, quite nice and smooth, lighter bodied. On cask at the People’s Real Ale Fest, Clarke’s Ale House, April 30 2010.
