Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2017. Day 2. I didn’t care for most Shiga Kogen beers but this one was amazing, tasted more actually like a high boost HoD than the HoD &Shiga Kogen collab. Darker amber. Nose is extremely heavy on oak, sugar, syrupy caramel, oak, vanilla bark. Taste is all caramel, malt sugar, oak, vanilla, oak is massive, caramel, sugar, oak vanilla syrup, almost maple. Damn tasty, all barley wine no DIPA left.

23/IX/17 - on tap @ Borefts Bierfestival 2017 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2017-1691) Thanks to ratebeerians and friends for sharing today's beers!
Clear amber beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol, sweet, vanilla, bourbon, some chocolate even. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, alcohol, vanilla, sugary notes, dried fruits, chocolate, bit fruity. Aftertaste: alcohol, spicy notes, more alcohol, sweet malts, caramel, lovely stuff! Tasted as "Far East B.A.", would've never thought this was an IIPA... but man, what a lovely beer this has become. Much more barley wine than IIPA, and... well, I'm a sucker for barley wines as well! :p
