Draft. Bronze beer with a nice cream colored head. Malt and toffee aroma with earth and yeast. Malt and toffee flavor with light banana, yeast, and light spice. Medium-plus bodied. Banana and malt lingers with malt and toffee and light spice.

(10/30/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in San Francisco. Deep reddish-brown color. Aroma of butterscotch, some caramel and light fruitiness. Buttery flavor. Medium-bodied.

Tap. Brown ale with a slightly sulfury aroma. Smokey nutt malt, not too sweet, a point tart. Good bodied. (June 2004).
