This time we dared to do something really big.
Imperial Saison is nothing else than a super strong version of a Saison, a beer traditionally brewed in Wallonia, Belgium, to refresh farm workers during harvest.
We decided to strengthen the original three times over, add loads of American and Polish hops and ensure sufficiently long aging. What we got in return is a very complex and ultra-fruity beer, with aromas of peach, apricot, pear, cloves and herbs. The flavour elongates the smell, balancing strong bitterness and potent alcohol. Despite its power, Saisonator is fairly easy to drink, so small sips are recommended. We most definitely would not give this beer to season workers!

Bottle/ some years ago on ratebeer rating. Slabo wygladajace, z niewielka piana, moca alkoholowa, lekko wyczuwalna, slodkawo kwaskowe i lekko drozdzowe, kapke przypraw suszonych, do stylu z poludnia Begii daleko mu, ale fajnie ze ktos sie sili na taki trudny styl. Piwo mialo inna z 1 warki etykiete w wiekszosci biala.

Tell me you don't know what a saison is without telling me so. This doesn't smell, taste, feel, or look like a saison. Perhaps it's merely what the label says, three times the ingredients, but perhaps they just don't know what they're on about. 12%

Gruszka, morela, trochę jabłka, fenole, goździki, szlachetny alkohol. Barwa jasnorubinowa, mętne, brak gazu, lacingu i piany. Goryczka średnia, przyprawowa. Piwo słodkie, alkohol niewyczuwalny, złożone, bardzo przyjemne.

33cl bottle. From Piwne Mosty. Poured unclear and orange in color. You can feel this is high ABV beer. Not exaclty boozy but warming with sweetness, spicyness and with dry fruits. Full bodied. Bit too concentrated somehow.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Miso, spiciness, alcohol, sweetish and umami, boozy. Not good.

From tap. Pours hazy orange, small white head. Aroma is fruity and slight herbal. Smoked, herbal. Yeasty. Dry and toasted malty. Bitter and herbal dry finish.

33cl bottle. A slightly hazy light orange golden beer with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet fruity, riped fruits, apricot, wheat. Taste of overriped sweet fruits, tropical fruits, wheat, strong sweet malt, slightly boozy, nice!

Butelka. Barwa pomarańczowa, równomiernie zmętnione, nieprzejrzyste. Piana niezbyt obfita, drobnopęcherzykowa, po niedługim czasie opada do obwódki. Aromat bardzo złożony, przede wszystkim cytrusy, ale nietypowo, bo w postaci słodkiej pomarańczy i mandarynki, poza tym wspomniane brzoskwinie i gruszki, typowe dla Belgii fenole i przyprawy (kolendra, trochę pieprz). W smaku zaczyna się słodko, czuć fenolowość a zaraz potem grzejący alkohol. Alkohol nie do końca ułożony, choć nie przeszkadzający tak bardzo jak w nie jednym triplu. Wysycenie niskie, goryczka niska. Ogólnie fajne w aromacie, ale poza tym męczące.
