This time we dared to do something really big.
Imperial Saison is nothing else than a super strong version of a Saison, a beer traditionally brewed in Wallonia, Belgium, to refresh farm workers during harvest.
We decided to strengthen the original three times over, add loads of American and Polish hops and ensure sufficiently long aging. What we got in return is a very complex and ultra-fruity beer, with aromas of peach, apricot, pear, cloves and herbs. The flavour elongates the smell, balancing strong bitterness and potent alcohol. Despite its power, Saisonator is fairly easy to drink, so small sips are recommended. We most definitely would not give this beer to season workers!

Sample @ [ DØE - Ølfestival København 2017 ] @ Lokomotivværkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark. [ As Trzech Kumpli Saisonator ].Unclear medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, saison yeast, fruity yeast, phenol. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, phenol - alcohol, saison yeast, wheat, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170519] 6-3-6-3-13

Piany praktycznie brak, pomarańczowe, klarowne. W aromacie brzoskwinie, karmel, przyprawy, gruszki. Alko wyczuwalne w aromacie. W smaku bardzo wyczuwalny alkohol. Ponadto brzoskwinie, karmel, dość słodko. Ciało wysokie, wysycenie niskie. Piwo zdominowane przez ordynarny alkohol co zaburza odbiór.

Fra fat på DØE ølfestival, Lokomotivværkstedet mai-17: nok en vinner fra Trzech, og antakelig første gang jeg smaker en imperial saison. Lett uklar oransjegylde med flott skum som varer. Sødmefylt aroma og smak med stor munnfylde. Friske bær og sommerfølelse. Lekker bitterhet. Livet som ølentusiast er dejligt.

Barwa pomarańczowa, piana szybko opada do zera. W aromacie wyczuwalne nuty owocowe oraz jak ocet winny. W smaku wyczuwalne dojrzałe brzoskwinie oraz lekka przyprawowość. Jak na 24 plato bardzo mało ciała, goryczka na średnim poziomie, nasycenie na niskim.
