Cask at The Gordon Highlander, Inverurie. It pours clear amber with a small, bubbly off - white head. The aroma is brown bread, biscuit, oily, sappy, resinous, caramel, toffee, hot cross bun and wood. The taste starts with some pronounced bitterness, sappy, oily, resinous, piney sting, biscuity malt, caramel, oatcakes, grassy and peppery spice with a drying, bitter & somewhat toothy finish. Average body and light carbonation. Quite nice actually. Packs a decent punch.
