A proper stout with 12 different malts to create depth, but at an easy going 6% to allow for a nice long session as we greet colder weather. Sweet, deep and rich, but with a cleaner less viscous finish than you’d expect.

16/5/2024. Can from 3at3 Ely shared by ITFCDan. Pours Close to black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, oats, dark fruits, caramel. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness developing nicely. Medium body, very oily and smooth, average to soft carbonation. Drying finish. Pretty decent.

On tap. Pours black with full nitro like head. Aromas of creamy coffee, lactose, foamy chocolate, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of fruity vanilla, bitter black coffee, lactose and oily roasted malts. Quite nice.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Attractive fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, porridge alright! Taste - smoky roastiness up front, then molasses and bitter chocolate. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle, then very roasty finish. Overall - going down the dry stout route, this one.

Opaque beer, thick light tan head. Big, malty aroma. Flavour has all the malt.too, a really complex range. Sweet, toasty, some bitterness. A smooth oaty quality, a dash of dark chocolate in there. A medium richness to it. Very drinkable.
