bottle, a gift from friends in Devon. Clear red-golden colour, mid-sized head. Malty nose with aroma of berries. Fruity overall character, berries, currant, with a pleasant sourness/fruitiness. Quite fruity, slightly malty and hopps.

A dark reddish copper ale with a thick frothy moka head. In aroma, wet dough with light vinous qualities, treacle, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth dark malt with light molasses, woody notes, light maderization, overall quite nice. Bieropholie import. BB 26-12-2009.

Bottled. Rubyish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, spices as well as some floral and wooden hoppy notes. Flavour is fruity, toffeeish, quite malty, but at the same time rather bittery dry. Mild spices as well.

Bottle. It’s a slightly hazy, amber beer topped by a two-finger off-white head leaving some lacings. Citrus peel dominates the aroma, with some caramel and bready malts in the back. Good bitterness. Full-bodied and smooth, maybe a bit more carbonated than is good, but still pleasant in the mouth. The finish has some caramel sweetness, with a good citrusy bitterness to finish the whole thing. A beer that is easy to like and easy to drink. Quite quenching too. 100529

best before 06-01-2008, tasted 18-oct-2009. hazy amber, smooth thick almost white head. Looks fantastic. mild, slightly sour, "old beer" , flowery aroma. flavor is mild, slighlty bitter, flowery, spicy, licorice, however the age has taken its toll on the beer. "old beer" flavor is evident amongst the nicer intended flavors in the beer. i guess the conclusion is : don’t age this one past its best before date ;-)
