Cask up the White Lady. Pours clear amber with a tight off-white head, nice lacing. Aromas of light red fruit and caramel. Taste is light bitter up front, light herbal notes, more red fruit and a sweet nutty finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 15/10/2022. Deep amber in colour, with a thin, white, head. Some caramel, citrus hops, jammy fruits, rich tea biscuity malts, and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma has malts and bitter fruits, plus a hint of rye grains. Malts again to the fore in the mouth initially, but soon give way to some traditional hops and a slight spicyness. Finish is somewhat fruity. This is quite nice – didn’t notice the threatened citra hops at all !
