Can from Appellation Wines. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of maple, vanilla and toffee. Taste is very sweet and nutty. Maple linger. Too sweet for me.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy opaque darkest brown with a quickly dissipating khaki head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toasted pecan, savoury, salty, pecan pie, maple, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, earthy roast, umami, cacao nibs and coffee grounds. The taste is dry, roasty, bitter - sweet, umami, savoury, salty, toasted pecans, pecan pie, light tannin, bitter dark chocolate, brownies, maple glaze donut, coffee grounds and a touch of spice with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Does what it says on the tin, but thankfully isn't nearly as sweet as I feared. Not bad. Could be done with a bit more condition.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep dark brown to black. Totally non existent head. Nose - figs, syrup and raisins. Sweet chocolate and pecan. Taste - chocolate, pecan and syrup. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and sweet. Overall- it does exactly what you'd expect.
