Bottle from Aultbea shop. Appearance - deep amber and clear. Creamy off white head. Nose - tart red fruit, probably redcurrant or cranberry. Bready too. Taste - tart red fruit again and herbaceous. Brown bread at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied, dry and bitter finish. Overall - OK. A bit unusual.

500ml bottle from Spar in Durness, bb 30/11/21, so I guess it's unretired? Hazy amber with a good sized white head. Aroma has orange, caramel, and some strange vegetal notes. Flavour is citrus and toffee with a hefty dose of spice

Bottle at Loch Ness Inn, Drumnadrochit. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, brown bread, brandy balls, tangy cola, caramel, umami and malt loaf. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, cola, caramel, earthy, toothy, brown bread, light umami, burnt brown bread toast and leather with a drying finish. Average body and fine carbonation. A pretty run of the mill red ale, but it drinks fine.
