Can from the Westhill Service Station. It pours oily dark brown to black with a dissipating brown head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy roasted malt, umami, liquorice, big hit of freshly ground coffee, treacle and a touch of spice. The taste is bitter - sweet, smooth, dry, rich roasted malt, chewy, toothy, big hit of espresso coffee, fresh roast, umami, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, peppery spice, damp oak and light tannin with a toasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice coffee stout. Moreish.
