In Scotland however, September is an Indian summer. August we get rain, September we get sunshine; one last hurrah before the dying of the light.
What better way to celebrate this bounteous time of year than with an organic coconut vanilla porter.
Sweet, rich, sumptuous, decadence.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma is toasty, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, toasted coconut, dark chocolate, cacao, dark chocolate bounty bar, coffee grounds and some umami. The taste is dry, roasted malt, earthy, bitter - sweet character, nutty, praline, toasted coconut, umami, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, peppery spice and a touch of charred wood with a dry, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. These kind of beers can easily become too sweet, but this one definitely has more of a cacao nibs, savoury character. Works quite well.

Can from Cork & Cask. Black body with a thin beige head that fades. Patchy lacing. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Flavour of nuts, chocolate and rust. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. I get vanilla more from this than I do coconut.
