Bottle from Westhill Service Station. it oours darkest brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big hit of dark roast espresso, toasted nut, dark fruits, plum, fig, dark chocolate, praline, umami, ash and liquorice. The taste is dry, slick, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, umami, liquorice, big kick of coffee, nutty, toasty, tobacco, dark/dried fruits, rocky road, ashy, peppery spice, toffee, mocha and some warming alcohol with a smooth coffee finish. Fulsome body, average carbonation and slick mouth feel. flavourful and rounded. One of the vest BrewToon beers to rate. Tasty.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with an attractive crema head. Nose - deep coffee bean and fresh coffee. Sweet chocolate note too. Taste - sweet chocolate and rich coffee. Palate - medium to full bodied, creamy body. Still fairly sweet on the finish but some roast. Overall - not usually a fan of adding coffee to stouts but this is good.
