Can from the Glenpark Hotel. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a thick beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of charred wood and ground coffee. Flavour of blackberry and tangy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Rich and slightly tangy.

Foamy light brown head on a dark brown body. Malt, burnt & roasted tastes. Medium bodied, extremely foamy on the tongue with a thin clean back. Chocolate, malt, roasted & liquorice tastes with a bitter pine finish. Standard.

Can from the Ayr Brewery online shop. Gusher! 5cm of beer to 16cm of beige head. There's a lot of chocolate and oat action, tray-bake sweet. It's not my favourite style but it's ok. I fear a month in the warm it might be explosive but!

Can, online from the source. Pours dark brown towards black with a huge tan head. Over carbonated. Aroma: roast malts, caramel, cola. Taste: light sweet & moderate bitter, prominent roasted malts, coffee light molasses, smoky hints. Light body, quite thin, with foamy carbonation

Can from the Glen Park Hotel (Ayr Brewing). Appearance - dark brown to black and fairly opaque. Tan head. Nose - molasses, light smoke and cola. Taste - molasses, smoke and general roastiness. Maybe something a bit blackberry. Palate - medium bodied, roasty finish. Overall - good.
