26/2/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Morecambe tasting. From 10 Beer Bottles, Wivenhoe. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits and berries. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Enjoyable

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Dark brown body with a few flecks below a thin beige head. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of Marmite, espresso and nuts. Flavour of Worcester sauce and rust. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Bold and tasty.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask. Pours deep brown with a fleeting, foamy beige head. Modestly sweet, nice restrained roast, burnt earth, dry cocoa, ash, earth, rubber. Light to medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Dry and roast finish, bittersweet cocoa, ashy dryness, nips of black coffee and raisins. Good stuff.
