Can 33 cl. 7,0% ABV in my version. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a lacing, beige head. Toffee and burnt caramelized sugar in the nose. Rich malty body, again plenty of caramelized sugar and perhaps a faint hint of smoke. Subdued bitterness, but you sense the British hops there somewhere. 060524

Gott

330 ml can, as Black Isle Organic Scotch Ale, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Dark reddish brown colour, large to moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, brittle, blackberries and blackcurrants, over-ripe red berries, some earthy hops. The flavour has also notes of malts and caramel, but is not too sweet. Again notes of brittle, hints of berries, distinct earthy hops in the finish.

On tap (keg) at the Black Isle bar, Inverness, Monday 26th September 2022, in the company of Nick and Anna. Pours murky brown with a light beige head, there is a little bitterness, dark fruit with a little tang. Always a little confused with this style and in my head struggle to know where to place it and what to expect, however a it's a good beer, in fact all of the Black Isle beers today have been very decent.

Belle prestation.
