Keg at Lochter Beer Fest. It pours clear deep brown with a decent off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earth roast, coffee grounds, dried fruits, Christmas cake and cacao. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, coffee grounds, chewy malt, leather, wood, dried fruits, fruit cake, touch of alcohol, spice and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonations. Decent Scotch ale.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Surprisingly roasted. Light coffee, a bit of chocolate, some liquorice on the palate. Should be a Scotch Ale here on RB, really not a bitter. Juicy, heavy and nice.
